Daniel K. Tyler – President,
Principal Scientist
Dan
Tyler is the founder of Freestone Environmental Services, and
has over 25 years of experience as a consultant and scientist
for a broad variety of environmental and water resources
projects for federal, municipal, and commercial sector
clients in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. He has
formulated strategies and plans for executing complex projects
involving regulatory compliance, waste management,
characterization, remediation and closure of hazardous and
radioactive waste sites and facilities. He has collected,
analyzed, and interpreted a variety of
environmental data, and is trained to
work in hazardous and radioactive conditions. Dan also has
extensive experience with water resources management including
resource assessments, supply development, water quality, and
groundwater protection. Through his career he has assembled
and directed several interdisciplinary project teams, managed
staffs of engineers, scientists and technicians, and is an
efficient project manager. His clients value his ability to
clearly communicate technical issues and constructively engage
regulators in negotiations that lead to practical and
cost-effective solutions. Dan has organized symposiums, and
presented technical information to a variety of audiences and
for legal proceedings.
