Pat
Cabbage – Geologist
Pat
Cabbage is a geologist specializing in sedimentology and
stratigraphy. Pat is trained to perform field work in hazardous
and radioactive conditions. He has wellsite geology experience
including construction of shallow monitoring wells using cable
tool drilling methods and the collection of vadose and aquifer
sediment samples while installing monitoring wells. In
addition, Pat is experienced in the use of Geographic
Information Systems (GIS), and in field and laboratory
procedures for analytical geochemistry. His thesis research
involved a detailed study of glacial outburst flood sediments of
the northern Channeled Scabland in central Washington, in which
he used detrital zircon geochronology within a sedimentologic
and stratigraphic context to constrain the provenances of
flood-derived sediments.
