Chris Lewallen

Geologist

Chris Lewallen is a geologist specializing in hydrogeology and sedimentology.  He has well site geology experience including construction of monitoring wells using cable tool drilling methods and collection of vadose and aquifer sediment samples.   He prepares drilling documents which include geologic logs, borehole logs, and drilling activity summaries.  He is trained to perform work in radioactive and hazardous conditions.  

In other pursuits, Chris has performed gas extraction of ice-core samples from both Greenland and Antarctica using gas chromatography.  Methane and carbon dioxide content were examined to determine past atmospheric conditions.  His academic interests include sedimentation and stratigraphy, hydrogeology, and glacial geology.
