Laura Hall
Geologist
Laura Hall is a geologist specializing in hydrogeology and economic geology. She coordinates drilling projects and associated activities for the hundreds of groundwater monitoring and remediation system wells being installed at the USDOE’s Hanford Site. This involves orchestration of pre-drilling planning documents, technical instructions and specifications, and permitting activities that are necessary prior to mobilization of drilling rigs. She also assists with coordination of drilling operations and related support services, and tracks post-drilling report preparation and review.
Laura also has experience working as a mud-logger on oil rigs throughout the West. She has previously worked for a lead and zinc mine in northern Washington as an underground grade control geologist. Her mining work focused on core logging and mapping as well as mine planning and assay sampling. This work included using AutoCAD and MineSight computer programs. She has performed field work in sections of Eastern Europe and Asia. Laura is also a degreed linguist with technical writing skills in both German and English.
